Mark Hendrickson has been involved in some fashion in the practice of criminal law since 1998 when he began as an intern for Judge James Lane at the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals while seeking his Juris Doctor at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He also interned with the District Attorneys in Oklahoma County and Pottawatomie County and with private defense counsel all beginning what is now over two decades in the practice of criminal law. After law school, Mark worked for the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System as a multi county public defender carrying a heavy case load in counties all over western Oklahoma representing clients in all areas including juvenile, misdemeanor and felony including drug, alcohol related, assaultive, sex, and fraud crimes. In 2012, Mark left Oklahoma to move to northeast Texas where he worked as an assistant district attorney in Dallas County. In 2017, Mark returned to criminal defense to work exclusively on Capital cases where the State of Texas sought the death penalty for his clients. In six years, and after 22 different cases, Mark was able to reach non death resolutions for all of the clients he represented to completion. During this time, Mark was also able to attend numerous local and national continuing education programs, gaining valuable knowledge and skills needed to assist his clients. Mark joined the team at Dunham & Jones in 2023.
